(Keystone-ATS) The Watches and Wonders Foundation Board welcomes three new members. By joining the Chanel, Hermès and LVMH groups, he explains that he wants to support the entire watch industry.

“This integration and this opening mark an important step in the foundation’s desire to support the watch industry as a whole, with all its stakeholders,” Geneva informed the Watches and Wonders Foundation in a statement published on Tuesday.

The non-profit foundation was created in September 2022 by the companies Rolex, Richemont and Patek Philippe following the launch of the first edition of the new Watches and Wonders watchmaking fair.

After two years as president, Jean-Frédéric Dufour, general manager of Rolex, will pass the torch on July 1 to his successor, Cyrille Vigneron, president and general manager of Cartier, for two years. He will become the treasurer of the foundation, the press release specifies.

Led by Cyrille Vigneron as president and Claude Peny as vice-president, the Board of Directors “will focus on defining the strategic and development axes of Watches and Wonders Geneva”.

During its last edition in April, Watches and Wonders brought together 54 exhibiting brands and 49,000 visitors.
