Since Sunday Denis Devillard has been the new president of the Le Creusot Lions Club. He now replaces Jean-Philippe Roussat who very officially passed the torch to him during a small ceremony held around 12:45 p.m. at the Restaurant du Château in Saint-Sernin du Bois. This joyful and friendly transfer of power brought together around forty people at the Restaurant de Saint-Sernin in a good atmosphere and around an excellent meal concocted around a suckling pig cooked on a spit. Denis Devillard is elected for one year, from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. He will be supported in carrying out the service club’s missions by Nadège Bouthenet, treasurer, and Gaëtan Duraffourg, secretary. The new president of the Lions Club of Le Creusot will continue the line traced by his predecessor, and in this sense, he recalled the next meetings such as the “Côte de Boeuf” day of September 1 bringing together all the service clubs of Le Creusot, Montceau and Autun. This will be followed on September 30, 2024 by the reception of the Lions Club partners at the Château de la Verrerie, the sight day (screening) on October 17, 2024, the Caddy weekend (December 6, 7 and 8) for the benefit of Condorcet students. in very precarious situations and the Oyster evening on December 13 for the benefit of guide dogs. Let us add that the midday meal was preceded in the morning by a short walk (Sainte Fountain, peat bog, etc.) accompanied and widely commented on by Gilbert Brochot, president of the Friends of Saint-Sernin.
