SBMM Call of Duty and Warzone: How to Access Your Hidden Skill Level! | Xbox

Competitive online games often use algorithmic ranking techniques to establish teams that will compete in matchmaking. What we call SBMM (Skill Based Matchmaking) is often criticized, but there is a technique to access your skill statistics and thus discover your level.

How to access your SBMM skill score in Call of Duty?

We have already described how SBMM works in Call of Duty and we know that the skilllinked to the performance of each player, is an essential component in the ranking of teams and the implementation of matchmaking.

Each player is classified by skill level by Activision in Black Ops 6 and all other Call of Duty games. The good news is that there is a way to know this level. This is a hidden statistic, but we'll tell you how to get it.

  • Access the game privacy from the Activision site on this page
  • Select “SUBMIT A NEW REQUEST”
  • Select the country and validate
  • Sélectionner « ACCESS MY PERSONAL INFORMATION (SUBJECT ACCESS REQUEST) »
  • Identify yourself using one of the methods offered
  • Validate the page

Once the request has been made, you will have to wait a few days before receiving an email from Activision. The good news is that you will receive a lot of data that can be imported into a spreadsheet such as Google Sheet or Excel, and thus access all Call of Duty data.

What is a good skill score?

The statistics available are very detailed and give access to the mode played, the map, the operator chosen, the overall score, the number of shots, deaths, headshots, damage suffered or even the XP gained and the percentage during which the player was moving, all for each Call of Duty game played!

But there is one particularly interesting statistic to look at: Skill. This is data that is officially taken into account in matchmaking and SBMM, and which Activision describes as a “feature used to give players the opportunity to make an impact in every match. »

Youtuber TheXclusiveAce indicates that his skill is generally between 300 and 400 according to the data communicated to him by Activision.

What data influences the SBMM?

Activision has shared the information that is decisive in the SBMM and the distribution of players within the games.

  • 1 – Connexion : As the community will confirm, Ping is king. Connection is the most important and weighted factor in the matchmaking process.
