Before the opening of the Paris Olympic Games, the L’Arbre à Palabres bookstore, Jean Sibilaud and volunteers are organizing the Sports Book Fair in Ribérac, Saturday June 22 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the André-Malraux room. For this first edition, they brought together authors around sport, leisure, health and competition.

Isabelle Fougère will come and present “Unbeatable!” 50 exceptional sportswomen who have left their mark on history”, Huguette and Raymond Roucheyrolle “The Great Hours of Cycling in Dordogne, 1919-1945” and Jean-Michel Linfort his paintings and illustrations on the Tour de France.

Exhibitions, dictation

The public will also be able to meet Bernard Chubilleau (“The Great History of Women’s Rugby”), Francis Pralong (“Cornecul”), Olivier Villepreux (“To put an end to the Olympics!”), Patrick Chanceaulme (“Are the Coaches trained?”), Patrick Russo (“History of a unique French basketball club”), Jean-Claude Marty (“Golden tennis players”), Claude Soula (“The History of judo and associated practices”) “) and Marc Desage (“The Order of Things”).

Two exhibitions, one on the Olympic Games, the other on judo, will be offered. Also on the program, a writing workshop with the media library at 2 p.m., a dictation on the theme of sport at 4 p.m. (three prizes will be awarded) and a meal from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
