The British actor’s grave was desecrated in the Monaco cemetery. A replica of the Aston Martin he drove in James Bond placed on his stele and his family crest were stolen.

The grave of British actor Roger Moore, known for his roles in the franchise James Bond and in the series Kind regards et The Saintwas desecrated in the Monaco cemetery, reports the American tabloid TMZ.

The Moore family crest was torn off and stolen, noted a fan of the actor who came to pay tribute to him. The same person noticed that a scale model of the Aston Martin driven by Roger Moore in the saga had also disappeared from the stele.

Monaco resident

Contacted by TMZ, the Monegasque police assured that they had only now discovered the desecration and theft. No one, until now, had denounced the act. Roger Moore’s family, contacted by the tabloid, has not yet reacted.

A resident of Monaco for many years, Roger Moore died in Crans-Montana in Switzerland in 2017 at the age of 89. The actor, who was knighted in 2003 by Elizabeth II, had wanted to be buried on the Rock.

Roger Moore played James Bond seven times between 1973 and 1985, Live and Let Die has Dangerously yours. He also made himself known with the series The Saint (1962-1969) et Kind regards (1971-1972).
