An essential rise in Ligue 2 which was missed

The Chamois Niortais club, resident of National 1, missed the promotion to Ligue 2 by only 1 small point. Despite an honorable season, it ended with a feeling of frustration while the club had the cards in its hands a few days before the end of the championship. After this failure, the supporters of the Deux-Sévriens club had fears about the future of their club, unfortunately the latter were left with nothing. The financial policeman of French football was not convinced by the file presented by the club’s leaders. Mikaël Hanouna, general manager of the club, had announced that he wanted to sell the club in recent months, something which was not done in time.

One last hope

According to France Bleu Poitou, the leaders of the Chamois Niortais will appeal the decision of the DNCG to obtain a period of 15 additional days to best prepare for this new transition. The latter remain confident and hope to present themselves with future investors to change the decision and maintain the professional team’s place in National 1.

Finally, Berrichonne Châteauroux should also appeal the decision.
