This Wednesday, the Olympic flame crosses Alsace. Tomorrow, Thursday June 27, 2024, she will arrive in Moselle for a 7-stage course going from Meisenthal to Metz, notably via Yutz and Thionville from 3:03 p.m. to 4:44 p.m.. For the occasion, the two cities have planned to many activities to liven up the daycelebrate sport and highlight local clubs and associations.

Program of activities in Yutz

  • From 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.: Aeroparc: Flame village: 13 sports workshops led by local clubs, skateboarding and BMX demonstrations, sporting challenges, artistic activities and Kings of the Cave concert. At 12:30 p.m.: “Move the Olympics” flash mob
  • From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Esplanade de la Brasserie: gym workshops, parkour, boxing, graffiti (collective fresco), musical entertainment
  • From 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.: Bestien room: exhibition “Yutz on the road to Olympus”, municipal band concert

Program of activities in Thionville

  • Place de la Liberté: from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.: Olympic and Paralympic Village: sports activities, street shows, concert by the DEMOS orchestra. The arrival of the Flame at 4:29 p.m. will be greeted by a colorful guard of honor with students from Thionville elementary schools.
  • Pont des Alliés / Pont Robert Schuman: between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.: pedestrian stroll with music, brass band, nautical activities
  • In the city center: from 12:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.: street shows, strolls, puppets, brass band
