A bit crazy Kate Middleton? This is what Prince William would repeat to his wife when she indulges in his favorite activity. The Princess of Wales has previously revealed that this pastime she loves is unusual to say the leastat least to the point that her husband does not conceive it.

She previously confided thatshe likes to practice it in the dark preferably and especially when it’s cold. If Kate Middleton’s penchant for cooking is no secret, this activity is however linked to another domain, much more physical.

The Princess of Wales is a sporty woman, who loves outdoor activities, nature and challenges. Guest of Mike Tindall’s podcast, The Good, The Bad and The Rugby, Kate Middleton confided that she always remembers “having been physical, using my body, whether it was walking, climbing the Lake District, Scotland or swimming from a young age. My parents always encouraged us to be physically active and sporty and they always encouraged us to play team sports and try things.”

A habit learned from childhood that Kate Middleton still perpetuates today. Indeed, if there is one physical activity that she loves above all, it is swimming in cold water, preferably during the winter season, in outdoor places or in unheated swimming pools, even if it means swimming in the dark. “The colder it is, the better. I love that. A bit to the point where William said to me: ‘You’re crazy, it’s dark and it’s raining’“, she laughs.

Kate Middleton particularly loves the aquatic element, Besides, she is also a qualified diver. Kensington Palace confirmed she had successfully completed an Advanced Open Water Diver qualification from the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), which allows her to dive to a depth of 98 feet (30 metres). To obtain this qualification, the Princess of Wales had to complete five dives, including one in deep water and one underwater navigation dive.

This also means she can dive with her husband, the Prince William, who has diving qualifications for some time and is president of the British Sub-Aqua Club. Prince William opened up about this in the columns of the Telegraph, explaining: “scuba diving really opened my eyes not only to many amazing sights, but also to the responsibilities we have as stewards of the underwater world“When his son George was two years old, he hoped that one day he would discover”also the wonders that snorkeling and scuba diving have to offer“.
