With the family on Netflix: the cute friendship between a little girl and a wolf – Cinema News

Fall for the true story of “Mystery”, a baby wolf who was mistaken for a dog and given as a gift to a little girl.

Discover the young (adorable) wolf Mystery, which gives its title to the film in which he is the hero, and which tells the true story of a little girl who is given a puppy which actually turns out to be a baby wolf. All located in a sheep breeding region where the return of wolves poses problems for breeders. A strong and poignant subject, which ends well, and perfect for having a good time with the family.

From 6 years old

Director for the Platane series with Eric Judor, Denis Imbert shot this film clearly geared towards children with the intention of not looking down on them, with what he calls a “realistic tale”: “Sometimes I criticize films of this ‘family’ genre for maintaining a somewhat simplistic and unreal vision of the world. I believe that children appreciate being taken seriously.”

What will please them

  • Mystery, adorable little ball of fur which, even as it grows, maintains a beauty that will delight animal lovers. However, you will have to prepare yourself for an adoption request at the end of the film!!
  • Victoria, who is a complex (see below) and passionate character, ready to do anything to defend what she believes in. A great example.
  • The richness of tones of the film – which ends well but which takes you through a lot of emotions (prepare some tissues)!

What may worry them

Gaumont
  • The young heroine, Victoria, has lost her mother when the film begins. She has been mute ever since, and it is the meeting with the dog/wolf that will give her a taste for life again. A tragic beginning for the little one, which may need to be supported for the younger ones.
  • The wolf is obviously a potential danger, and very frowned upon by local breeders who wish to hunt it. The animal is in danger, it is believed to have died for a few minutes.
  • Victoria nearly froze to death following her wolf until she was exhausted.
