On the eve of the first round of the French legislative elections, all indicators point to a victory for the National Rally. The pollsters are unanimous: “It will be a replica of the European elections,” predicts Frédéric Dabi, director of the Opinion division of Ifop. “Everything looks like a scenario of confirmation of the European elections,” confirms Bernard Sananès, president of Elabe. Clearly, the bloc of the National Rally (RN) and its Republican ally Eric Ciotti is expected around 35-36%, that of the left with the New Popular Front (NFP) around 27-29%, and that of the presidential majority of around 20%.
