This Thursday, June 6, 2024, several TV channels are broadcasting live the ceremonies marking the 80th anniversary of the Landing of June 6, 1944.

On which channels and at what time?

On the occasion of the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Allied landings on the beaches of Normandy, this Thursday, June 6, 2024, television channels have planned several events.

For the anniversary of June 6, 1944, the commemorations will begin with the traditional ceremony at the British memorial in Ver-sur-Mer (Calvados).

A French-Canadian ceremony on the Juno Beachin Courseulles-sur-Mer (Calvados), chaired by the Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, alongside Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, then Franco-American, in Colleville-sur-Mer (Calvados), will follow.

The international ceremonychaired by Emmanuel Macron, will be held at Omaha Beach, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. It will also take place in the presence of American President Joe Biden, Prince William for the United Kingdom, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and many other foreign officials.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla will also be present during the Franco-British ceremony.

It will be broadcast on TF1, France 2 and continuous news channels.
