The Parisian production company Hervé Hubert, responsible for the show “Mask Singer” on TF1 and certain reports for “Zone interdite” and “Complément d’enquêtes”, has been the target of a complaint since May 14 for “attempted fraud in judgment”. As reported by The Parisian This Thursday, it was filed by a 48-year-old former employee, who accuses the company of having provided false documents to the industrial tribunal in order to avoid paying him for his overtime under his intermittent status.

As a production administrator, the man was responsible for the accounting and social elements of audiovisual projects. From 2013 to 2021, he was hired as an intermittent on a CDDU (fixed-term contract) at Hervé Hubert to take care of the adaptation of “Les Reines du shopping” for M6. In total, thirteen to seventeen weeks of work for a week of broadcasting, a pace that mobilizes the team for ten to twelve months each year. A first burnout occurs in the workforce in November 2013.

A loss of 90,000 euros

This sustained pace should have, according to the complainant and his lawyer, justified the signing of a permanent contract, the forty-year-old working full-time for the company. In addition, unlike other employees, the forty-year-old received only a very small raise during this period and deplores “salary discrimination”. He therefore decided to leave in 2021.

“I had twelve months of compensation, at 50% of what I earned,” he said. This is what prompted him to take the matter to the industrial tribunal. But the company allegedly declared eight hours of daily work to the court, omitting all of his overtime. According to him, the loss of earnings, over a period from August 2013 to December 2021, would be 90,000 euros.

A complaint to the Paris public prosecutor’s office

According to his lawyer, this would be an “attempt to defraud the judgment”, the Hervé Hubert company having presented false documents. A complaint was therefore filed with the Paris prosecutor’s office. Contacted by our colleagues, the company said it was surprised. “The feeling we have is that he wants to recover money to keep his company afloat”, declared the company’s lawyer.
