If the Nintendo Switch has become over the years a real anthology console bringing together many games and diverse and varied licenses, there are still a few franchises that are resisting.
Among these franchises: Call of Dutythe famous series of war games that has sold over 400 million copies worldwide and has been a hit for just over 20 years on virtually every platform… Except on Switch.
On the occasion of the publication of a new Nintendo Direct : Partner Showcase (a Direct reserved for third-party publishers- see here), could this be changing?
It is possible. Some zealous fans have indeed noticed that the official X account of the license in Brazil has started to follow certain influencers linked to Nintendoresponding with wide-eyed emojis to messages evoking the Nintendo Direct coming soon – reactions that have since been deleted…
Let us remember that if Call of Duty is not currently present on Nintendo Switchfor years, the license has made (more or less) the happiness of Wii, Wii U and even NDS owners with versions specially designed for them.
We also know that if Activision missed the boatSince Microsoft’s takeover, A ten-year partnership has been sealed with Nintendo to bring Call of Duty on Switch (or Switch 2) with the displayed will to offer “the same experience” than on other platforms.
Since then, from Many rumors have circulated, including that of an exit of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered on Nintendo Switch…
So, will the franchise finally land on the console? Nintendo with a dedicated episode, a remake, a port of a mobile version or a compilation? See you just now at 16h (Paris time) to find out – or not.
