At the end of July, Fabien Namias created a surprise by announcing his departure from the head of LCI to join its direct competitor BFMTV, with a view to succeeding Marc-Olivier Fogiel, the channel’s general manager. At the end of August, LCI found itself a new boss. The TF1 group’s news channel chose an in-house journalist, Guillaume Debré, to take over the position of general manager.

« We have shaken up the transfer market a lot in recent years and we now consider that our teams are very rich in talent on air and in management. etc. Hence the choice to turn internally, explains Thierry Thuillier, deputy general director of information for the TF1 group.
