the essential
The Eclats association presents an unclassifiable artist, at the crossroads between gypsy music, jazz, and operetta.
The Éclats association invites you to discover a unique concert by Lula Hedt on Saturday January 18 at 8:30 p.m. at Atelier 81. Lula Heldt is an unclassifiable artist, who experiences her gypsy, jazz and operetta influences in the style of a contemporary Nina Hagen! Author and composer-performer, she deploys her universe spiced with metaphors and musicalized in a percussive way with Alfred le Cello, her cello which she uses like a double bass. She explores her voice in an experimental way by playing with the different possible timbres, ranging from lyrical to gypsy voices and even rolling the R’s. We can therefore hear fragments of world music, trances, Spanish chants, and English with a reinvented accent which she uses with humor. Her musical influences are very diverse, Nina Hagen and Iva Bittova inspired her to use her voice like a musical instrument, Barbara, Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel were her pillars of interpretation of texts. Her personality is bewitching, both fragile and powerful, and sweeps the audience away with each of her interventions. She offers us her repertoire “Bain de Lunes”, a kind of intimate, feminine cartography, where sweetness and revolt are associated and assumed. In short, discover during a concert all the beauty of its intimate poetry… Where the words cascade over the notes and where the onomatopoeia takes on meaning. Prices: 14 euros full price, 10 euros and 5 euros reduced rate. Reservation: www.eclats-lavaur.com, or at 05.63.58.26.00.
