The Gonzalezes made their return in Large families: life in XXL this Wednesday, June 19. Franck Gonzalez could not hide his emotion while attending his daughter Cléo’s birthday surprise.
After weeks of absence, Large families: life in XXL made its return to TF1 this Wednesday, June 19. Among the emblematic tribes of the program which appear in the continuation of season 8 of the docu-reality, we notably include the Gonzalez. The couple had mentioned the condition they had imposed on TF1 to participate in this edition. In the last episode broadcast before the cut, Mélanie and Franck Gonzalez celebrated little Cléo’s fourth birthday. The mother also made no secret of the fact that she had gone to great lengths to make this celebration special. “To bring a whole team to the house, it costs us 600 euros, just the decoration plus the entertainment also for this afternoon. They will entertain for two hours,” she confided.
Cléo’s emotion upon discovering the Snow Queen touches Franck Gonzalez (Large families)
The Gonzalezes had relied on a sure bet to please the little girl. They had in fact chosen to invite Elsa, the heroine of Snow Queen. Cléo was obviously amazed by discovering her idol in the flesh. “The Snow Queen arrives, and there all the children have stars. They are like that. I see my daughter, she is almost impressed. It definitely touches me. I’m happy to see her like this. She will remember it, I think, all her life. There it is marked, noted Franck Gonzalez, very touched by his daughter’s emotion. As his eldest son noticed, he didn’t resist when he discovered the show either. “Me tears, never life. I have makeup everywhere. That’s all”, he defended himself, trying to change the subject. Mélanie, touched by his emotion, gave him a little kiss.
Why Cléo’s birthday is so important to the Gonzalezes (Large families) ?
If the Gonzalezes are so keen to celebrate their little Cléo’s birthday, it’s because she occupies a special place among the siblings. “It’s a long-awaited little girl. When the midwife told us it was a little girl, everyone was crying. I was so excited, I couldn’t wait to tell Margot (…), who had been waiting for a little sister for years.” the mother explained. But the tribe also wants each child to have the right to special attention for their birthday. “It’s their day. As we have a large family, we like each child to have their own time. For them, it’s important to build themselves,” underlined Mélanie Gonzalez.
