What if you started the week in thriller mode? But be careful, in very high-level thriller mode! If the idea tempts you, then you should tune in to Arte, the channel broadcasting this Monday evening the excellent Class all risks, led by the giants Jean-Paul Belmondo and Lino Ventura.

Released in theaters in 1960, Class all risks, which is one of Jean-Paul Belmondo’s little-known gems, tells the story of Abel Davos (Ventura), a gangster sentenced to death in absentia and wanted by the police, who took refuge in Italy.

On the verge of being found, he returns to France, but a shooting breaks out, killing his wife and his friend Raymond. Left alone with his children, Abel calls on his friends Riton and Fargier to come and pick them up in Nice. They send them a reliable man, Eric Stark (Belmondo).

All Risks Class is the adaptation of the book by José Giovanni, itself inspired by the last years on the run of Abel Danos (renamed Abel Davos in the film). Dark and tormented, this realistic work with no downtime is obviously worth it for its formidable acting duo.

The alchemy between these two immense names in French cinema works perfectly and it is a real treat for any self-respecting film buff.
