The stairs of Poitiers train station have had a new look since Thursday, June 27, 2024. Several characters and patterns from the board game Dixit, published by the Poitiers company Libellud, appear on a dark green background. This creation, commissioned by the City of Poitiers, was created by Libellud.
The cladding of the station stairs, produced by the Imprinova company, was custom-designed for each step. This work, entitled Kings and Queensrefers to the emblematic figures of the gaming universe and the rich history of the city of Poitiers. The work will be visible until August 31, 2024.
A representation of Eleanor on a wall
Another work is present nearby. It is a tarpaulin placed on a wall on Boulevard de Solférino, not far from the entrance to the TAP car park. Made by AZ Com, it represents Eleanor of Aquitaine, on the occasion of the queen’s 900th birthday. The effigy will remain visible for a year.
Already last year, two works installed by Libellud were visible in the same locations, near Poitiers station. They were already inspired by the famous game Dixit.
