On the occasion of the broadcast of the semi-final of the famous telecrochet, the Pothin family visited the editorial office to look back on Inès’ journey. Still in the race to reach the last four final places, the protégé of the artist Claudio Capéo testifies: “I don’t really realize it. It’s truly a crazy experience. It’s like a summer camp but with singing!”

A schoolgirl at Notre-Dame-des-Anges in Espira-de-l’Agly, Inès already seems to show great maturity. “Since the beginning of the adventure, I feel less shy, it makes me grow”confides this artist at heart, who sang even before speaking according to her parents, Mike and Gaëtane. “From the age of two, she was stammering Formidable by Stromae. Around four or five years old, she did karaoke without knowing how to read, we hummed the words in her ear.” Today, in addition to singing lessons at Lisa Palma’s school in Soler, Inès accompanies herself on the piano, which she has been practicing since she was six years old. “This is not my first participation in the show. The first time, I was ten years old, I stopped at the studio tests. I am already happy to have progressed.”
And when we ask her more about her musical tastes, the young singer from Peyrestortes is more hesitant: “I generally listen to pop or French variety. I really like the singer Janie, I sang her song Mon Idole. Otherwise I also listen to Louane or Slimane. Or even Céline Dion, in fact I sing his song Vole during the semi-final.”
TF1 having promoted its evening with the broadcast of Inès’ performance, the video is already available on the internet. The performance did not go unnoticed, to say the least, since Celine Dion herself re-shared the video on her Instagram account, which has more than 8.5 million subscribers. “It’s hard to imaginesmile Mike and Gaëtane, their eyes full of stars and pride in their daughter. It’s a beautiful story when we know that Inès’ participation follows the death of her grandpa Marc, who was also a musician.”
