In the land of chimeras, the artist François Delarozière has been designing and building increasingly crazy projects every year for two decades, the most recent of which are called Long Ma, the dragon horse for China, or the Guardian of Darkness who has taken up residence at the Hellfest in Clisson.

The next fantastic animal will be called Le Varan de Voyage which will set foot in in November 2025. At the same time, the director of the company La Machine is developing a show (1) featuring – and for the first time – three of his city machines in at the same time.

In Nantes (2), he presents, unveils and sells sixty original drawings of all his chimeras and several lithographs of the machines of the merry-go-round of Mondes marins. From the unicorn to the Giant of the Seven Seas, many of them exist only under the unique label of François Delarozière. One in ten or fifteen projects has not been completed. he says.
