Club Bruges snatched a point in added time on the Charleroi pitch thanks to a deflected volley from Vanaken. The Blauw en Zwart, however, found themselves trailing thanks to a goal from Guiagon before being reduced to ten after the exclusion of Onyedika. Charleroi and Bruges open this 9th day of the Pro League this Friday. Both teams try to play without completely giving in.
The match changed in the 55th minute when Onyedika was sent off for a forward foot tackle. The Bruges player did not seem to have to throw himself in this way to recover the ball but did not really seem to touch his opponent either. The sanction seems exaggerated but the VAR does not intervene and the red is confirmed. Bruges is at 10 but does not give up. A tense strike from the left from De Cuyper forces Koné to intervene once again.
