A fire broke out this Sunday, January 19, 2025, shortly before 3:30 p.m., in a garage located in the town of Castelmaurou, near Toulouse. The rapid intervention of firefighters from the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS) of Haute-Garonne made it possible to control the fire before it spread to the adjoining house.
Four engines and around twenty firefighters were mobilized to put out the flames. Despite their efforts, the garage was completely destroyed by the fire. Fortunately, the adjacent house was not affected, thus limiting material losses.

A building risks specialist is expected on site to assess the stability of the structures and guarantee the safety of the premises. Enedis, Samu, the gendarmerie and a representative from the town hall were also present to coordinate the necessary actions.
The owner of the premises, slightly intoxicated after inhaling smoke, was taken care of by a firefighter nurse. No other injuries were reported.
