The president and CEO of the National Oil Distribution Company (Agil Energy), Khaled Bettine, reacted this Monday, January 6, 2025 to the concerns of the citizens of Kasserine regarding a gas shortage.
During his appearance on National Radio, he explained that the region now benefits from a direct supply of gas from Algeria. “An agreement was reached with the Algerian side, allowing distributors to go directly to Algerian filling centers to fill gas cylinders,” he said.
Khaled Bettine specified that this agreement provides for an increase in the quantities of gas delivered to Kasserine, and that this measure will come into force this week.
Concerning rumors about a possible increase in the price of domestic gas bottles, Khaled Bettine firmly denied the information according to which the price had reached 30 dinars.
He indicated that after verifying this information, particularly on social networks and in certain media, specialists had categorically denied this rumor. “The price of the gas bottle remains set at 8,800 millimes,” he assured.
