A busy Sunday in Antwerp. Olivier Deman arrives, Laurit Krasniqi has left and Jean Butez is packing his bags. The French goalkeeper’s file influenced that of Senne Lammens, who will therefore remain at Bosuil.
The winter transfer window is not yet open in Belgium, but Antwerp is already very active. There will be movement in the coming days, whether in the direction of departures or arrivals.
This Sunday, we notably learned that Red Devil Olivier Deman was going to be loaned by Werder Bremen and make his return to the Jupiler Pro League. Later in the day, Laurit Krasniqi left Bosuil after 11 years, heading to Lithuania.
Meanwhile, Jean Butez finalized his transfer to Como after the failure of negotiations with Lens due to the Brice Samba file. A file which had a great influence on that of Senne Lammens.
For several weeks, the English press has mentioned interest from Manchester United and Arsenal in the Imp, who could have competed with Bart Verbruggen for a dream transfer.
But the Great Old will obviously not sell its two goalkeepers during the same transfer window. Logically, the departure of Jean Butez means that Senne Lammens will not go to England and will remain among the Antwerp poles.
