  • In the press kit, co-director Alexandre de La Patellière returned to the adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' masterpiece : “Our obsession was to fully embrace this fresco, to preserve all its dimensions to make the viewer experience very different emotions. This is why we made a single film, and not a diptych: like the page-turner that is the novel, the whole story had to take place in the same time framethat the tension amassed in the first part of the film finds its outcome in the same work. Impossible to tell the viewer: leave the Château d’If and come back in six months to find out what happens!”
