In France, the Arles central prison is the scene of a hostage-taking carried out by an inmate armed with a bladed weapon.

A hostage taking is underway in a prison in the city of Arles, in the south of France.
According to the newspaper Provencean inmate holds four members of the nursing staff as well as a prison guard at the threat of a homemade bladed weapon.
The Raid (editor’s note: the specialized intervention unit of the national police) has been activated.
