Some have woken up with a joyful vision – provided you like snow – In the North and especially in Pas-de-Calaisce Tuesday January 7 in the morning. A light white coat covered the exterior landscape, in several sectors: from Flanders to Avesnois, via Artois, where many towns located in the plains were sprinkled with real large flakes. The episode is not over, according to Météo France.
Snow again this morning inland, then in Lille?
Internet users did not fail to share numerous photos in the early hours of the day, and the snowy episode could well continue this Tuesday, although the flakes do not stick to the ground. Météo France is still forecasting snow showers, mixed with rain, this late morning and this afternoon, this January 7.
It is well inland and to the south of Pas-de-Calais that it could snow again in the coming hours, before the phenomenon shifts towards the North. Even in Lille, light snow is forecast to arrive in the afternoon; same story in Flanders. As mentioned above, it will not hold on the ground, the temperatures being closer to 5 than 0°C.
Snow still forecast for Thursday, January 9
If the Nord and Pas-de-Calais remain on yellow alert for snow and ice, this Tuesday and Wednesday, it is on Thursday that the snow should fall the heaviest. Météo France announces snowflakes throughout the south of Hauts-de-France, from Avesnois to Arrageois and Douaisis. This time, it could be that they will stick to the ground, with temperatures forecast around 1°C.
