Gabriel Landeskog is finally back in training with his teammates

As you know, Gabriel Landeskogthe captain of the Colorado Avalanche, has been out of action since the end of the 2021-22 season due to a lingering knee injury.

His absence was a blow to the Avalanche, a team that relied heavily on his leadership and offensive contributions. The last time Landeskog played was during Colorado’s triumphant 2022 campaign, where he played a vital role in helping the team win the Stanley Cup.

However, subsequent knee operations kept him sidelined, and his recovery proved much more difficult than expected.

Known for his intensity, his sense of play on both ends of the ice and his ability to elevate the performance of his teammates, Landeskog’s presence on the ice is irreplaceable.

The Avalanche adapted by relying on other stars like Nathan MacKinnon et Mikko Rantanen and by making acquisitions like those of Ross Colton, Casey Mittelstadt et Jonathan Drouinbut the void left by their captain is palpable both in the locker room and on the ice. Fans and teammates continue to hope for his return to play.

Well without wanting to jump to conclusions, the veteran Swede was seen at the Avalanche’s morning skate Thursday morning.

We really hope that this is a sign of an upcoming return for the Avalanche captain.

After more than two years of doing everything towards a return to the game, if there is one player who deserves a return, it’s him.
