More than three months after its launch, LineageOSthe best known and most used third-party ROM, now offers a official support for the entire Pixel 9 range.
Support based on LineageOS 22 and Android 15
This support is based on the LineageOS 22 full updatewhich is based on Android 15. It includes all the features of the build QPR1as well as the security fixes and latest privacy improvements. LineageOS is installed on more than 1.5 million Android devices worldwide, an impressive figure for a modding community.
Even if the Pixel 9 has been available for some time, flasher LineageOS can offer more flexibility and control on your device for those who want to maximize their experience.
What’s new in LineageOS 22
LineageOS 22 brings all the new features announced to Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL et 9 Pro Fold. Among the most notable additions:
- And new music player.
- Visual adjustments based on the QPR1 update.
- Improvements under the hood, including:
- Load Limits.
- And pseudo mode bureau for the Pixel Tablet.
- Lots of small optimizations built on top of Android 14.
All devices equipped with the chip Tensor G4 are now listed in the LineageOS 22 repository. However, none downloadable file is not available at the moment, although this should change in the coming days.

Why choose LineageOS?
The Pixel 9s are still actively supported by Google and will benefit from 6 years of guaranteed updates. However, LineageOS 22 might be of interest to those who like to customize their device and explore additional features. Over time, this attention from the LineageOS team could even extend the lifespan of Pixels beyond what Google will offer.
That said, it remains to be seen how the Pixel 9 hardware will support 7 years of daily use.
