Ukrainian servicemen of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense for the first time destroyed a Russian Mi-8 helicopter in the Black Sea using a Magura V5 marine attack drone. Gur reported this on his Facebook profile. During an operation in the Cape Tarkhankut region of Crimea, the Magura V5 drone, equipped with P-73 SeeDragon missiles, successfully hit the Mi-8, marking an innovation in the use of maritime attack drones.
A second Russian helicopter was damaged, but still managed to return to the original air base. In another operation in the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine, the Gurs, together with the “Tavria” strategic operational group – a formation of the Ukrainian ground forces – destroyed one of the headquarters of the Russian occupation forces. According to Gur, this attack marks a significant step forward in Ukraine's use of advanced military technologies in the conflict.
