Saturday December 28 was named the first Félix Lebrun room. The Lebrun family maintains special links with the ASCL table Tennis club. It was the referee Denis Jeauneau and the president Olivier Floutier who recalled the first arrival at the sports center of the young table tennis player Félix Lebrun, double medalist at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. He stood out there at the age of 10 years.
Félix Lebrun arrived with his family, but without his father Stéphane Lebrun, former French No. 7, was detained for health reasons, his uncle Christophe, former world No. 14 and director of competitions for the French Table Tennis Federation. This ceremony retained a family character, which did not escape the dozens of young table tennis players who had their racket, their case or even their ping ball autographed.
The young table tennis player received the city medal
Jean-Charles Bénézet, mayor of Saint-Christol-lez-Alès and architect of this first, with Olivier Floutier president of the ASCL table tennis, recalled the legendary places where the Lebrun brothers distinguished themselves, this Félix Lebrun room will open the road to the Lebrun generation since it is with Alexis, his brother, that they form the best pair in the world.
After receiving the National Medal of Merit at the age of 18, Félix Lebrun received the Saint-Christol-lez-Alès medal on December 29.
