Football: Manchester United manager makes a child’s dream come true

This young Manchester United fan will remember his meeting with Ruben Amorim for a long time. The child in question, stationed at the entrance to the training center of the prestigious English club, approached the Portuguese coach’s car when the latter finally left Carrington in order to obtain an autograph from the new man Old Trafford Fort.

During this end-of-year holiday season, and as demonstrated in a video posted on social networks on Sunday, a little Christmas “miracle” then occurred.

At the window of the vehicle, the little boy had the opportunity to take a photo and exchange a few words with the man who was inducted into the leadership of the Red Devils last November. The perfect opportunity to point out to the young technician (39 years old) how much he loved the – luxury – model he was driving.

A compliment that visibly touched Ruben Amorim. The latter, very outgoing and attentive towards Manchester United supporters since taking office, then suggested to his young interlocutor to ask his mother, who was accompanying him, for permission to get into his car in order to take a ride in his company.

The “yes” was quickly obtained, the little boy took his place in the passenger seat. With the seat belt fastened, the car (re)headed towards Carrington, after passing through the barriers of the training center. She finally reappeared a few minutes later, after a brief discovery of the place which usually welcomes Bruno Fernandes and others.

Suspended in time, this special moment will certainly make the young fan forget that their favorite team is going through a complicated new season. Only 14th in the Premier League, the Red Devils have not experienced any improvement since the arrival of Ruben Amorim on the bench (four defeats in six league matches). Worse, they remain on three consecutive defeats, in all competitions, before the reception, this Monday evening (9 p.m.), at Newcastle.
