Established in 2018, the energy check offers aid to the most modest households, ranging from 48 to 277 euros depending on income and household composition, to pay their gas, electricity, fuel oil or wood bill, or to finance energy renovation work. If it is necessary to follow the reminder, it is because it was not sent automatically this year for those who had never benefited from it before.
Only 53,000 households out of the million concerned had come forward in November, according to the ministry. “This counter also allows the user who automatically received a 2024 check but considers that their situation allows them to have a check for a higher amount based on their 2022 income, declared in 2023 and the composition of their household on December 31, 2022, to make their request”he specifies. The online process only takes “10 and 15 minutes”.
