The composition of RC Vannes for its trip to Pau, on the occasion of the 13th day of Top 14, has just been communicated. The surprise of the Vannes XV is the tenure of Thibault Debaës in the opening against his training club. The 23-year-old from Palois will have his third start of the season, but the first two were in a context of large rotation of the squad (in Toulon and in Georgia against Black Lion). Maxime Lafage, starter in the other twelve matches, will start on the bench for the first time this season.
Salesi Rayasi out, Anton Bresler back
In the absence of RCV's top try scorer, Salesi Rayasi, who has groin problems, Romaric Camou and Iñaki Ayarza will be lined up on the wings. We also note the return of Anton Bresler to the XV for the first time in the Top 14 since the reception in Lyon, more than three months ago. The 36-year-old Namibian will partner in the cage with Fabrice Metz, who is preparing to challenge a club he left this summer after eight seasons spent in Béarn.
These will be the only four changes in the XV compared to the team which lost against Bayonne last weekend.
Joe Edwards on the RCV bench
It is also the big return of Joe Edwards to the RC Vannes group. The New Zealander will start on the bench, having not played since his ankle injury in Clermont more than two months ago.
