Nicolas Poirrier takes over from Stéphanie Silvain

The members of the Dunois Nautical Club met on Friday for their general meeting. Faced with the closed door of the Jean-Delabrouille room, they had to retreat to the Saint-André room.

As announced last year, Stéphanie Silvain chaired her last meeting at the head of the club after two four-year terms. After two seasons impacted by the health crisis and work at the nautical center, the manager is enjoying a second increase in licenses with an increase of 12, for a total of 149 members including 51 in competition.

Last season, the CND organized three competitions in Châteaudun, one in Cloyes and two internally.

“In June, to meet demand and financial needs, I requested two aquafitness slots, they were refused by Équalia, which penalizes the development of the club,” explains Stéphanie Silvain. A long discussion took place on this question which depends on the Grand Châteaudun. Bruno Labelle, municipal councilor responsible for the promotion of sports, concluded that “this subject will be raised during the possible renewal in a year of the agreement with the delegatee. » A consultation meeting is requested.

On the financial side, the situation has improved with a slight surplus of €900. License prices remain unchanged.

Coach Jean-Louis Ciboire listed the good results obtained during the thirty competitions of the season and highlighted the numerous podiums at the regionals. He appreciates “the presence of twenty-one swimmers among the youngest: “the next generation. »

A new steering committee has been elected for the next four years. A new president has proposed himself: Nicolas Poirrier. A member of the club for 3 years, he practices leisurely and follows his two competing children.

He intends to “continue the evolution of the club by relying on the experience of the oldest. »
