The Aubrac regional natural park offers two days of meetings and festivals, on November 22 and 23, around Occitan culture.
“CThis year we decided to organize our usual Occitan meetings in the territory of the commune of Argences-en-Aubrac, where “lenga nòstra” is already well practiced.says Laurent Joyeux, cultural mission manager at the Aubrac regional natural park.
Occitan workshops, a country project which collects Occitan songs and tales, and the Massif Central league will be there in Graissac thanks to the support of the new commune and the department of Aveyron.
Friday's program includes several conferences and meetings with, from 10 a.m., a presentation of “parlem una cultura viva” of the Occitanie region, the actions of the Occitan Institute of Culture, the Occitan pole of Aveyron, the departmental Occitan association of Aveyron and the Park, followed by a screening of the documentary “Bougnats” from the Occitan Institute of Aveyron, glass of friendship and aligot-sausage offered by the commune.
In the afternoon: “From landscape to words”, restitution of Calvet's research work on Occitan toponymy in Aubrac and recital on 1,000 years of bagpipes in France with François Lazarevitch. Saturday will be devoted to a Bourée course with Sarah Serec and Christophe Burg (from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and will end from 6:30 p.m. with a small balèti with the duo Christophe Burg and Guy Chuzy.
