On Wednesday June 19, the Saint-Christophe residence in La Chapelle-Saint-Florent, directed by Cindy Redureau, organized its second family day. The 29 residents were accompanied by 22 family guests. Claudie Montailler, health – social – gerontology assistant to the mayor of Mauges-sur-Loire, and Luc Chauvin, deputy mayor, participated in this event.

A third edition announced

« This day of sharing and exchanges around a picnic-style meal, hosted by accordionists Bruno and André, kept all its promises and will be renewed for a third edition. It was a nice moment », Confided Cindy Redureau.

The director presented the residence services and the team of employees. Meals are made on site with as many local products as possible. The kitchen prepares meals for schools in the town and those in Botz-en-Mauges, plus 15 take-away meals. In total, 200 to 220 meals are prepared per day during the school term.

Residents are tenants of accommodation rented by Sèvre Loire Habitat and pay a monthly pension to the municipality of Mauges-sur-Loire. Each resident has remote assistance, which secures the resident, the family and the team.@

Rachel Huchon regularly provides entertainment with volunteers for the lottery, knitting and painting. She also hosts philosophy cafés and brings in outside activities: music, choirs, etc. More occasionally, meetings are scheduled around the shared garden and Christmas crafts with the after-school children.
