The first member of the Tkachuk family to lift the Stanley Cup therefore became Matthew, to the great pleasure of his father, who shed a few tears following this conquest.

What a special moment for this close-knit family! Matthew also stressed that he would not tease his father and his brother since we find a large part of them for this success.

Dad Keith was more emotional than his son Matthew, which is hardly surprising. Tkachuk (father) has never managed to lift this precious silver trophy in his 18-year career. During his prestigious career, Tkachuk played 89 playoff games, where he collected a total of 56 points.

It took a combined total of 2,231 games before seeing Tkachuk lift the Stanley Cup in his arms. These family moments were so touching to observe!

That said, Matthew wishes and believes that his younger brother will hoist a Stanley Cup very soon since he is built to achieve such a feat of arms. This aspect is true, except that the Ottawa Senators are still far from this tour de force… even with the addition of Linus Ullmark.

Before achieving such a feat of arms, the Sense will have to create an identity and develop it, especially since everything has to be rebuilt with a new group of coaches, Travis Green in the lead.

At the Catsthis culture is a work painted by Paul Maurice, Matthew Tkachuk and Sam Bennett, who brought this passion, this aggressiveness and this level of commitment within the group.

Let’s end this brief post with a statement from Matthew Tkachuk to the fans of the Calgary Flames, who must have been excited by this victory for the Florida Panthers over their rivals the Edmonton Oilers.
