The Professional Football League (LFP) unveiled this Friday the 2024-2025 Ligue 2 calendar.
For the first day, August 17, Amiens SC, 8th in the last season, will play against Red Star, promoted from National. On the last day, May 10, the Picards will play in Bordeaux.

This Ligue 2 season will mark the increase to 18 clubs. There will therefore be 34 days (as in Ligue 1). They will run from August 16, 2024 to end on May 10, 2025. The last day before the Christmas break will be played on the weekend of December 14, 2024. Ligue 2 will resume on the weekend of January 4, 2025.
At the end of the regular season, there will be the play-offs for accession to Ligue 1. The first play-off between the 4th and the 5th will take place on Tuesday May 13, 2025. The winner will face the 3rd during a second play-off scheduled for Friday May 16, 2025.
The accession play-offs will be played in two matches. First leg on Tuesday May 20, 2025. Return match on Sunday May 25, 2025.
