The Hellfest awaits metalheads from Thursday June 27 to Sunday June 30, 2024 in Clisson for a new and 17th edition which is likely to make an impression. This year, the Hellfest invites more than 180 groups to come and set fire to the site of Clisson for 4 consecutive days, from June 27 to 30, 2024. Heavy metal, punk, hardcore, black metal, folk metal or even thrash metal from France, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Faroe Islands, Hungary and even Mongolia… once again, the Hellfest pulls out all the stops, to satisfy the desires and tastes of each person.
If the Hellfest offers no less than 6 different stages, some festival-goers have this uncontrollable desire to squat in front of the two Mainstages throughout the day, in order to attend the shows of key artists and groups of the metal scene. KERRY KING
Thursday June 27, 2024 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:20 p.m. – Mainstage 1
Thrash Metal – USA
Is it really necessary to present the essential and charismatic Kerry King ? Famous guitarist and co-founder, with Jeff Hanneman, of the thrash metal band Slayer, Kerry King returns to Hellfest 5 years after the huge concert given by Slayer in Clisson. This time, for this set scheduled on Mainstage 1 on the first evening of the festival, the American artist presents his personal project called “From Hell I Rise“. Released on May 17, this is the guitarist’s first solo album on which we find in particular the singles “ Idle Hands ” And ” Residue “. His coming to Hellfest is likely to create some wall of death And circle pit very wild!
MEGADETH
Thursday June 27, 2024 from 9:20 p.m. to 10:20 p.m. – Mainstage 1

That those who do not know Megadeth dare to raise their hands! Ok, not many people obviously. I have to say that Megadethled by Dave Mustaine, is part of the famous ‘Big Four‘, alongside Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax. In recent years, the American thrash metal band has become a regular at Hellfest. Once again, the quartet intends to make festival-goers laugh by performing a few songs that have become real anthems for some. We think in particular of “ To everybody “, “ Symphony Of Destruction ” or “ Holy Wars…The Punishment Due “.
AVENGED SEVENFOLD
Thursday June 27, 2024 from 11:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. – Mainstage 1
Alternative metal – USA
Having become a reference in contemporary metal, avenged sevenfold this year is one of the headliners of the Hellfest ! The alternative metal band from California in the United States has the honor of lighting up Mainstage 1 for this very first evening of Hellfest. Today, the group has more than 20 years of career behind it and several line-up changes (notably on drums and bass). The combo also has 8 albums to its credit, the latest of which is entitled “Life Is But a Dream…“. A record that avenged sevenfold intends to present it to the French this summer to the public at Hellfest!
MACHINE HEAD
Friday June 28, 2024 from 11:15 p.m. to 12:45 a.m. – Mainstage 1

Machine Head at Hellfest: this is undoubtedly one of the concerts not to be missed at the end of June in Clisson. Robb Flynn and his friends are performing several dates this summer in Europe and have therefore decided to make a stop at the Hellfest, to the delight of their many French fans and festival-goers. No need to tell you, but Machine Head has the firm intention of setting Hellfest on fire with its thunderous and ultra-powerful tracks. So, a piece of advice, be in front of Mainstage 1 on Friday evening for this return of Machine Head in Clisson!

They come to us from New Zealand and offer powerful and effective thrash metal honoring their Maori roots. After having already won over festival-goers at Hellfest twice (2019 & 2022) and after opening for Gojira in 2023, Alien Weaponry has become over the years an essential group in the eyes of many metalheads. If you’ve never seen them live before, then now is the time to catch up and discover their infectious energy and their songs that are as explosive as they are captivating!
MASS HYSTERIA
Saturday June 29, 2024 from 8:35 p.m. to 9:35 p.m. – Mainstage 1
Fusion / France
A flagship metal fusion group on the French scene, Mass Hysteria hits Mainstage 1 on Saturday June 29, just a few hours before the Metallica show. Group for which the French opened in 2009 during the enormous concert of the Californian combo at the Arènes de Nîmes. And Mass Hysteria, made up of Mouss, Raphaël, Yann, Frédéric and Jamie, intend to set Mainstage 1 on fire by performing several of their essential hits. We recall that Mass Hysteria published in 2023, “Tenacious“, an opus released in two parts. So Les Furieux, ready to thrill you?
BRUCE DICKINSON

We no longer present it! Bruce Dickinsoniconic singer of Iron Maiden, but also an airline pilot and fencer, makes his return to Hellfest this summer in order to properly defend his latest solo opus called “The Mandrake Project“. A record already presented at the Olympia in Paris last May and which was clearly unanimous. It must be said that Bruce Dickinson is one of those stage beasts that we never tire of. Quite the contrary! Find him on Mainstage 2, just before Metallica, for his first set as a solo artist at Hellfest.
METALLIC
Saturday June 29, 2024 from 10:45 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. – Mainstage 1

Two years after his memorable concert at Hellfest, Metallica returns to Clisson, just to once again set the metal festival on fire, performing their hits with panache and passion. Enter Sandman “, ” Master of Puppets ” or ” For Whom The Bell Tolls “. While the group is currently in the middle of a European tour with the second part of its “M72 World Tour“, the Four Horsemen intend to offer a set as powerful and successful as the one given in 2022. For a good dose of Californian thrash metal, meet on Saturday evening in front of Mainstage 1.
SAXON

A worthy representative of NWOBHM (New Wave of British heavy metal) alongside Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, Saxon still continues to fascinate and inspire today, almost 50 years after its debut. The years pass, but the songs remain and the tours continue for our greatest pleasure. After an explosive show at the Zénith in Paris with Judas Priest, Saxon arrives at Hellfest on Saturday June 29 with a set that promises to be thunderous, and carried by the charismatic and tireless Biff Byford !
FRANK CARTER & THE RATTLESNAKES

With him, everything is possible live! The British Frank Carterdescribed by many as the enfant terrible of punk in the UK, will be on Mainstage 2 on Sunday June 30, the last day of Hellfest, 2024 edition. A true stage beast, Frank Carter intends to deliver a thunderous and wild set alongside The Rattlesnakes. Crazy and supercharged, this set of Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes is clearly not to be missed, and will definitely make you sweat like never before!
