Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch 7 Ultra: we know more about the prices and colors of future Samsung watches

Samsung is expected to introduce its new Galaxy Watch 7 line of smartwatches at the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 10. Alongside its new folding smartphones, the South Korean firm would also unveil other products such as a Galaxy Book laptop, Galaxy Buds headphones and of course its new generation of smart watches.

Among the expected models, we find the Galaxy Watch 7 available in a 40 mm version, but also a high-end variant called Galaxy Watch Ultra in a 47 mm case. The latter would represent Samsung’s premium response to the Apple Watch Ultra 2, with enhanced features and design.

Galaxy Watch: an Ultra model at a high-end price

According to information obtained by Paras Guglani, the 40 mm Galaxy Watch 7 would be offered in a price range between 299 and 310 dollars, a price equivalent to the previous generation, since the 40 mm Galaxy Watch 6 was offered at its release from 319 € or €349 for the 44 mm. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic was €419 for the 43 mm and €449 for the 47 mm. The announced colors of the new model would be Marble Grey, Cream White and Forest Green. Recall that the Watch 6 offered a wider color palette with Graphite, Silver, Cream, Apricot, Icy Blue, Indigo and Mint straps, while the Watch 6 Classic was released in Black, Silver, Camel and Indigo.

In addition, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 recently received FCC certification. We learned that the watch will support 15W wireless charging, better than the 10W of the 6. The smartwatch will also be equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity and, optionally, LTE connectivity.

The 47mm Galaxy Watch Ultra, positioned in the ultra-premium segment, would target a significantly higher price between $699 and $710 depending on the source. An expensive model therefore, but still below the Apple Watch Ultra 2 which costs €899. It would only be offered in a Titanium Gray color and would benefit from a reinforced construction with a titanium case and a particularly resistant sapphire crystal panel. We are also talking about a huge 590 mAh battery, water resistance of up to 10 ATM and very high brightness of up to 3,000 nits.
