Blagnac tennis club: full success among young people

the essential
The BTC (Blagnac tennis club) is fully dedicated to young people. With success. With three titles and a finalist place, it is the most successful club in Occitania. Enough to brighten up the club party this Saturday and prepare for the future.

There should be a lot of smiles this Saturday, June 29, during the BTC (Blagnac tennis club) school party, around the twelve courts of the Ritouret park. Around the head of the school, Emilie Vanhuysberghe, around ten teachers and initiators, the four hundred little tennis players, their parents and the hundreds of adults (1046 members in total) meet for sporting activities and games, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., around a very busy country meal. Fun and grills on the menu.
It will also be an opportunity to draw a very satisfactory assessment of the tennis school. If the dozens of little beginner players, as tall as three apples, are cute, rackets in hand, the club has obtained, as often, fantastic results at the highest level. The 38 students in the performance school are multiplying their victories in the Toulouse area and in the department.

Three regional titles

And for the best, it goes well beyond that. “Five young Blagnacais had managed to pass the sector phases, from the Haute-Garonne department, from the Midi-Pyrénées zone. They confirmed at the higher level. With three Occitanie champion titles, a finalist place for girls, and a quarter-final for boys, we are the most successful club in the region” rejoice in particular Christophe Caracatsanis, the president, and Kevin Prestavoine, the general manager. The girls made a raid, in Marseillan and La Grande-Motte: three titles, for Hanna El Banaoui (8 years old), Victoire Koko (11-12 years old) and Nehira Sanon (15/16 years old) and a final, for Beverley Nyangon (17-18 years old). Among the boys, Noa Carrère arrived in the 15-16 year old quarters, narrowly losing against the future finalist. The Roland-Garros stadium being occupied by the Olympic Games, it is in Dijon, at the beginning of August, that Nehira Sanon will try to go as far as possible in the French championship, after her spring “performances” on the international junior circuit.
In teams, it’s almost as good. Among the 11/12 year old girls, Victoire Koko and Grace Rajaobelina are Occitanie elite division champions and finished fifth in the French championship. Among the 15/16 year old boys, Noa Carrere, Martin Vidal and Jean Patron are finalists for the Caisse d’Epargne trophy, elite division.

Three podiums at the French school championship

As part of the fruitful partnership with the Ferradou school, located in Blagnac, several young people from the club, who benefit from flexible schedules, have also distinguished themselves in Limoges during the French UNSS (National School Sports Union) championships. , by teams. For the 6th and 5th grade classes of the college, Maissa El Banaoui, Jeanne Nodar Cortizo, Vincent Portha, Thomas Noël, Adrien Briois and Gaspard Hoffert finished in third place. Same result among high school students, for Noa Carrere and Camille Fournes. At college, the 4th and 3rd almost repeated the feat of 2022, the national title. With friends from Cornebarrieu and Stade Toulousain, Louise Hoffert, Jean Patron and Valentin Lardy-Gaillot narrowly lost in the final against Lagord (La Rochelle), after five match points in the last decisive match!

Internships all summer

The club plans to continue its momentum next season. A second day of detection will take place this Saturday, June 29, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Coming from other clubs, young people aged 10 to 17, classified according to their respective ages from 30/3 to 15, will be supervised by the teaching team to join the training center.
This summer, while many other associations are at a complete standstill, the club is also offering very varied courses of all levels, for six weeks, from July 1 to 26 then from August 19 to 30. In the morning or during the day, young people aged 4 to 18 can choose between mini-tennis, leisure tennis, tennis and other sporting and fun activities, or preparation for competition. Adults will have à la carte options at lunchtime and in the evening. Enough to progress regularly and stay in shape before starting the school year!
