On July 6, Saint-Germain-des-Prés will experience the second edition of its municipal festival. Bruno Cohu, deputy for school affairs and youth, reveals the outlines of the program with the aim of bringing together as many people as possible.
What is the program for the next community festival?
Bruno Cohu : “This takes place at the Pré des Saules and different activities will be offered to residents as well as to the public who will come from outside. From 4 p.m., sports workshops will allow you to try football and basketball. We will also have a circus workshop to liven up the afternoon. From 6:30 p.m. the music will take over as three groups will come and play their repertoire: The Dab’Dixie, Space Candy and Do Not Machine.
Who contributes to the organization?
“We have sought to mobilize as many people as possible so that this day allows everyone to come together. The Municipal Council is participating, as are the town’s associations, volunteers and the Children’s Municipal Council.”
What will be new in this edition?
“Without revealing everything, we seek to develop this day and improve it. This year we will have the presence of a food truck to offer catering to visitors. We are excited to offer three concerts in one evening with very different musical styles. »
What is the objective sought by the municipality?
“The main goal is to offer a day to meet. This festival should make it possible to bring together the inhabitants, to make them meet each other, to offer them the means to have fun and to have a good time together in the town. »
What are the remaining deadlines to be met before D-Day?
“A few details still remain to be finalized but things are well underway. Volunteers will be essential for last-minute logistics for the installation of the sheds and the setting up of benches. All goodwill will be welcome. »
