The project is financed by the League against Cancer and the CPAM. “ We have been hosting the activities of the Inner Flanders cancer resource area for two years, but the patient can take part in them for only one year after the end of treatment. This new activity therefore allows you to continue physical activity », explains Angeline Pruvost, director of the CSE.

The activity is led by Isabelle Parmentier, who already works at the Hazebrouck premises. Passionate about sport, particularly martial arts and fitness, she graduated in 2020 with a professional certificate as a sports leisure facilitator and is certified in adapted physical activities. “ I wanted to put my energy towards a public who needs it during and after the illness. The objective is to regain self-confidence through movement, at your own pace with small objectives. We will do cardio, strengthening, breathing, stretching. Through the exercises, we also work on coordination, memory and balance, all in a good atmosphere and with music “, she explains.

Free

The activity is free and it is not compulsory to be a member of the CSE to take part. The same goes for the medical certificate which is not required, although it is advisable to seek advice from the attending physician. After a first discovery session this Monday, the next is scheduled for June 24, from 7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. All you need to do is put on your sneakers and bring a mat, the equipment is provided.
