The war in Ukraine against Russia has been raging for 1,000 days, Tuesday November 19. With the authorization to use long-range missiles, the war could take a new turn.

Volodymyr Zelensky traveled to Pokrovsk (Ukraine) on Monday, November 18, to two points on the Russian-Ukrainian front line. He thanked and decorated the soldiers who have been at the heart of the fighting for 1,000 days. After the American agreement to use long-range missiles, the war could take a new turn. “This could be a game changer. The further Ukraine can strike, the shorter the war will be”believes Andrïï Sybiga, Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs.

This new arsenal is synonymous with escalation for the Kremlin, which sees it as direct participation by the United States. “Russia's response in such a case will be appropriate and will be felt”says Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for Russian diplomacy. Germany, the second country providing military aid to Ukraine, refuses to deliver its own long-range shells. Faced with divided allies, Volodymyr Zelensky must speak on the morning of Tuesday, November 19, before the European Parliament.
