Beaune – 10th anniversary of the AIGUE Association: a friendly day dedicated to nature and family

On Saturday June 15, the Association for Information and Universal Environmental Management (AIGUE) celebrated its 10th anniversary with a special day dedicated to conviviality, discovery, manufacturing and culture. This anniversary, which was held at the American Camp hall, attracted many families and nature lovers.

AIGUE: a decade of environmental awareness and management
Since its creation, AIGUE has been committed to promoting information and awareness-raising actions concerning the management of resources within living spaces, food crops and natural spaces. The association aims to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of Beaune and its region by organizing conferences, debates, and various events. This anniversary day was the ideal opportunity to meet the members of the association, participate in enriching activities and discover new ecological practices.

Program focused on nature protection
From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the day was punctuated by various stands and workshops for young and old. Participants were able to create bird feeders from salvaged items, such as bricks and pins, and paint them with natural dyes like red cabbage. A workshop dedicated to the manufacture of ecological and economical household products attracted many curious people. A sorting and composting workshop provided a better understanding of waste management.
In collaboration with the friendly association “La graine et le potager”, a seed swap took place, encouraging the sharing and diversity of plants. An educational game to identify local fauna and flora allowed students to learn to recognize local species and deepen their knowledge of nature.
The participatory creation of a nature mandala “of love” used materials such as stones, straw, lichen, charcoal, and almonds.
The young company Aquilon has enchanted young and old with its stories inspired by nature.
La Recyclade presented an exhibition of recycled and artistically transformed objects.
A refreshment bar, pancakes and small meals delighted the participants throughout the event. A “basket garnished, organic and local” game offered the opportunity to win local products, adding a touch of deliciousness to this festive day.
This anniversary was the perfect opportunity to meet the members of the association, participate in enriching activities and discover new ecological practices in a warm and family atmosphere.
