The gloomy weather will prevail at the start of the week with rain in most of Quebec, and even snow in certain areas.
In Montreal, Environment Canada is forecasting up to 5 millimeters of rain at 13 degrees, while strong winds will sweep across the metropolis for a good part of the day.
In western Quebec, Abitibi-Témiscamingue risks seeing a white carpet cover certain sectors which will also be blown by gusts of 50 km/h.
Intermittent rain is expected in the center of the province with temperatures of 9 degrees, but areas a little further north could receive up to 2 centimeters of snow.
The same scenario of intermittent rain or light snow is expected in Eastern Quebec, where the mercury will be falling with maximum temperatures of 4 degrees.
Thus, certain sectors of Bas-Saint-Laurent and the Côte-Nord risk seeing accumulations of 4 centimeters of snow in places under gusts of 50 km/h.
For Tuesday, we can expect clearing in the southwest of the province, but elsewhere the rain or snow will continue with the mercury still falling.
