Firefighters alerted twice last night in this district of Alençon: four cars set on fire

The Departmental fire and rescue service (Sdis) de l'Orne was alerted to twicethis night from Tuesday 5 to Wednesday 6 November 2024, to intervene in the Courteille district in Alençon.

First at 1:12 a.m. rue Guynemer where a car was burning then at 3:03 a.m., still rue Guynemer, where three cars were engulfed in flames.

No injuries were reported.

Six firefighters from Alençon were mobilized following these facts.

Already three fires last week

These new fires are in addition to the three previous ones declared last week, in the same district of Courteille.

In fact, on Wednesday October 30, 2024 at 1:55 a.m., firefighters and police officers had been alerted for a container fire rue Saint-Exupéry when, in the process, a fire started in a car parked on rue Guynemer.

Where, on the night of Friday October 25 to Saturday October 26, also shortly before 2 a.m., a refrigerated truck was destroyed by flames.

The Police are investigating.
