SATURDAY CONSO: my notebook (retail but not only…) of the week

“SATURDAY CONSO”, the retail week (but not only) reviewed. As always in complete freedom. And too bad if it stings!

SATURDAY

In Montparnasse, head to Maine-et-Loire for the General Assembly of C’est qui le boss. On the platform, Monoprix has found “an unstoppable thing” to bring customers back: puppies, kittens and rabbits. Otherwise, there are promotions or low prices. I say that, I say nothing.

It’s done ! Here I am re-elected administrator (volunteer, I specify) of Who’s the boss. Since the beginning, I have been fascinated and enthusiastic about the approach. Enthusiastic because the economic model still makes it possible to “return” €540 per tonne of milk to the breeder. This is more than €100 above the usual price. You have to see the smile of these breeders and listen to their words to understand the role of Who’s the Boss and, beyond that, of the different “fair” approaches. Then, I must also recognize a fascination: managing to sell €1.27 a liter of milk while the “neighbors” of gondolas sometimes sell for 80 cents can be seen by some as a little miracle. But a miracle that still happened 65 million times last year. And in which I am proud to participate.

The cheapest barbecue in France (Leclerc promises in the press). With 370 gr of mustard for 6 chipolatas, hemorrhoids are offered as a gift. It was nothing.

Jonathan Le Borgne, my friend at info-retail (jebosseengrandedistribution), publishes the top Favikon in retail. And kiki is first? Bibi! In front of MEL and Dominique Schelcher -
