MISCELLANEOUS EVENT – Involuntary homicide. This is why the Nanterre public prosecutor’s office opened a preliminary investigation after an accident that occurred early this Tuesday, June 4 in Clamart, in Hauts-de-Seine. A teenager caused a traffic drama after a chase with police who identified his vehicle as a stolen car.

Here is what the first elements of the investigation revealed by several media including The Parisian and RMC allow us to understand.

• How the accident happened

It was between two and three o’clock in the night from Monday to Tuesday when police officers from the BAC de l’Essonne identified a Peugeot 3008 in Palaiseau as a stolen car. While they try to stop it, the flashing light and the two-tone ringtone are activated, says TF1. The driver refuses to comply before a chase begins. It was on the D906 in Clamart (Hauts-de-Seine) that the driver lost control of the car, crossed the central reservation and hit a Peugeot 307 which was traveling in the opposite direction.

• Who is the victim

The Peugeot 307, thrown several meters from the impact site, was badly damaged. Its driver, a 34-year-old man living in Clamart, immediately succumbed to shock, the Samu doctors being unable to resuscitate him.

• Where is the person arrested

The driver of the stolen car is a 14-year-old boy, injured in the arm when his car caught fire after the impact. Transported to Béclère hospital in Clamart, this teenager living in Fresnes (Val-de-Marne) was then placed in police custody. Paris News specifies that he indicated having stolen the vehicle he was driving ” on command “.
